A Wild Farmhouse Ale Aged in Oak Barrels With Nectarines
A Wild farmhouse ale aged in oak barrels with tart cherries!!
A wild spontaneous ale blended from two years aged in oak barrels with blackberries.
Brewed with a Parti-Gyle method and utilizing two types of heirloom British Maris Otter malt, along with a deft hand of British Crystal, Chocolate and special roast malts lay the foundation for this ruby colored ale that has been finished in Bull Run Distilling whiskey barrels for 5 months. Deep layers of toffee, figs, graham cracker, burnt toast, and brown sugar drift between a smooth yet lingering alcohol warmth. Love, Lost at Sea Barleywine inevitably tips toward the realm of luscious malt flavor, while straddling the line of balance between malt and hops.
This hop experience ale features ample additions of sticky, resinous, lupulin packed hop buds grown in the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy a hop decrescendo that begins with an aromatic blast of tropical fruits, citrus and dank herbs, transitions into intense hop flavor and then ends with a subtle bitter finish. Gently propped up by pale malted barley and fermented with specially selected brewer’s yeast designed to balance this immense hop experience.

Although it may not feel like it, warm weather is just around the corner. So Wayfinder and we are cranking up the A/C! For this beer we worked with Kevin at Wayfinder who invented the Cold IPA and turned the dial up to 11. Hopped with Idaho 7, Centennial and Comet on the hot side and triple dry-hopped with Citra and Simcoe bringing aromas and flavors of citrus, stonefruit, and a touch of pine that chill the mood. Get ready, a cold wind is about to blow.

When we received our order of Phantasm, we pondered the best way to use this intriguing ingredient. Immediately, our friends at Block15 came to mind. Wizards in the hop game, they were excited to join us in the challenge of highlighting this delicate, yet complex ingredient. Mutual passion, hefty amounts of thiol loaded Phantasm, very strategically placed hop additions and the use of a special yeast brought to life this delicious and intriguing IPA concept. Loaded full of rich citrus and vinous character with a touch of tropical wonder, this IPA is a unique expression of elements you wont want to miss.
Our vision of the perfect IPA. This beer is pretty much everything we’re looking for in a hop-forward beer experience, and nothing more. Brewed with a recipe developed over a decade of experimenting with brewing techniques and hop varietals, Block 15 IPA begins and ends with classically unapologetic Northwest hops, which our brewers carefully balance through a progressive approach to hopping, a supportive malt backbone, and a water profile that gently softens bitterness on the finish. Vibrantly hoppy and always evolving, Block 15 IPA is brewed often and cannedfresh to maximize flavor and aroma.
Sometimes you find yourself in a scenario where just can’t possibly understand every little nuance, every last detail, and every factor involved in what you are experiencing; you just have to sit back, relax, and let yourself go! This collaboration with Vice Beer and Fortside Brewing is like that- it flips the textbook old to the new. No strings attached- this beer is designed from front to back to push the maximum amount of tropical fruit-forward thiols
Northwest IPA using Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic to bring flavors and aromas of pine and tropical fruit.
Ripe fruit aromatics give way to flavors of guava, pineapple, and apricot melding with a honey graham cracker sweetness from the malt
Tyler Brown is a legend in the beer industry, the godfather of modern IPA in the Northwest, and one of the best storytellers you’ll ever meet. We’ve been lucky enough to soak up tons of knowledge from Tyler and his crew at Barley Brown’s, and there’s no doubt that Breakside IPA and Wanderlust exist the way they do today thanks to the influence of Tyler, Eli, Shawn, and Marks. It was a no-brainer to host them as part of our 10th anniversary collaborations and also a no-brainer to make a West Coast IPA with them. When we sat down to make this beer, we asked, ‘how would we design a new West Coast IPA in 2020’ that captures the direction that WC IPA is heading? The resulting beer is filled with three of the fruitiest hops around, Strata, Mosaic, and Azacca, along with a touch of Simcoe to anchor the beer in classic dank and catty West Coast flavor. The bitterness is modest, the malt bill is extremely lean, and the ABV is moderate. It’s a contemporary West Coast IPA for the new decade.
This session IPA is brewed from flaked rice to create as light bodied a beer as possible with juicy, tropical dank and fruity hop flavors, alongsidenotes of pineapple, onedew, lime and mango. Breakside employed four new hop varietals – Equinox, Calypso, Huell Melon andEldorado – to achieve these flavors.
heavy lifting hops with hints of tropical fruit
Queens & Sons is inspired by the pub culture we experienced while living in England, as well as by our love for modern IPAs. We enjoyed nothing more than a weekend connecting with each other and the culture of the English countryside. These days often led to spending time in walled gardens, where the kids would gather rag-tag bouquets for us, or to long walks through woodlands before settling ourselves under a canopy of leafy trees in the warm months, or indoors by the fire in the cooler months, at favorite pubs. We created our Soft IPA with rituals of connection and culture in mind. Full in flavor, pillowy mouthfeel, complexity, and sessionable drinkability; Queens & Sons is ideal for any season and any session.
A contemporary India Pale Ale brewed with feet firmly planted in the Northwest and a nod to New England. Mosaic and Columbus hops get lots of play here creating a beer that is tropical, fruity, dank, soft, and balanced.

The phrase “brass tacks” means getting down to the essentials and focusing on the most important details. For this bold, big Double IPA we do just that. We focus on what we love about these beers: big tropical and citrus hop notes of mango, passion fruit, ripe orange, a hint of coconut, and citrus zest! We keep the bitterness moderate, the mouthfeel full, and leave just a bit of sweetness, all to help carry the intensely fruity hop notes we are looking for. Enjoy the experience of getting down to brass tacks!

Inspired by my daughter, this farmhouse-style ale was brewed with spring flowers and matured in Sauternes wine barrels with a select strain of Brettanomyces. Cassidy is brewed each spring, bottled the following spring with honey from her Grandpa’s bee hive, and released around her birthday. Each bottle contains a portion of all previous years’ blends. This bottle-conditioned ale is delightful fresh, and it will evolve beautifully as it ages alongside Cassidy. – Nick Arzner.

With Breakside’s vast knowledge and curiosity about hop combinations, and our approach to creating a low ABV vessel for hop forward beers, we’ve created Horticulture, Baby!, a Double Dry Hopped Pale Ale. We highly recommend you enjoy this beer while watching (or rewatching) as many episodes of Ted Lasso as possible.

for this blend, we selected 13 casks from our wood cellar, with the goal of producing a summery Brett-forward beer with vivid herbal undertones. the majority of the barrels contained a spontaneously-fermented wheat beer that spent its entire ‘life cycle’ in wood. rounding it out are some of our favorite former gin and Pinot Noir casks, many that have been in our barrel program for over 5 years.

The theme on this beer was inspired by some of our favorite 80’s films to hit the screen. We wanted to brew a delicious low ABV “Quick Sour” so we started with a hazy beer base and added mango, pink guava and pineapple. The acidity of the beer paired with pineapple and pink guava are complimented by a touch of sweetness from the mango vanilla and lactose vanilla for a soft mouthfeel and approachable sour. Our sixth out-of-state collaboration is with Sun King Brewing from Indianapolis. We virtually collaborated on this new summer beer. We married our breweries’ interest in fun and playful beers to create this Sparkler. What is a Sparkler exactly? It’s a fruited sour ale blended with a housemade club soda. We employed our tried-and-true process for making a dry, tart, and textural sour beer and then designed a bespoke club soda (don’t call it a seltzer!) to make the beer drink more like a refreshing summer cocktail. If ‘beer cooler’ is a thing, this is it: with big additions of guava and lime zest, we’ve imbued this with bright tropical and citric notes. Kick back, relax, and enjoy this unheralded summer of 2020.
